Poem Line: She dwells with Beauty—Beauty that must die…
I chose this line from the poem because I was very interested in the fact that “beauty” is capitalized, as if it is a name. I also thought it is a paradox because of the fact that she is consumed by beauty—something that is normally a positive thing—but then that beauty must die. I was very compelled by this line also because of its simplicity. It repeats a word as if to emphasize its meaning and significance. Furthermore, as I read this, I felt a shadow of sadness wash over me for some reason I cannot explain. I just felt pulled in by this line.
